Terrance Taylor Obituary

Terrance "Spanky" Taylor was born on May 25, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois, to the loving union of Venora "Vicki" Taylor and Lardell Taylor, who preceded him in death.

On June 2, 2026, at 5:30 a.m., Terrance peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota, at the age of 49.

Terrance was a devoted family man whose greatest joy was spending time with those he loved. He cherished family gatherings, creating lasting memories through laughter, fellowship, and his warm presence. His love for family was evident in the way he connected with and cared for those around him.

At an early age, Terrance accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior under the leadership of Reverend F. P. Piper at First Baptist Institutional Church. His faith remained an important foundation throughout his life.

Terrance received his early education at St. Catherine-St. Lucy Catholic School, where he completed the eighth grade before continuing his education at Taft High School.

Throughout his life, Terrance worked diligently in various occupations, always striving to provide and contribute wherever he could. More importantly, he will be remembered for the relationships he built, the kindness he shared, and the love he gave so freely.

Terrance leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of his loving mother Venora "Vicki" Taylor, children: daughters Adamnesha (Marquis) and Amelia, and sons Terrance and Terrion. He was also the proud grandfather of five grandchildren who brought great joy to his life.

He is survived by his brother, Robert "Dell" Taylor (Pauline); his special sisters, Athena Giles (Melvin) and Sibyl; as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lardell Taylor, and his brother, Kevin Taylor.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in the memories we shared, and the love Terrance leaves behind. His spirit, laughter, and devotion to family will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7
