Things to know about Stephanie

She worked at Hidden Valley Ranch as a machine operator for 21 years. She later became a safe passage employee for the city of Chicago as a crossing guard. The kids she met called her mom ma Stephanie because she was always giving motherly advise to the kids she met. Her most used phrase to all her nieces, nephew, friends and family

was:

"BOY DONT YOU CUSS AROUND ME"

She retired at her last job Sunstar Corp as a machine operator after 8 years with Sunstar. she retired in 2022 just after putting in all the work hours needed to get her full retirement benefits. She lived most of her life on the West side of Chicago until she finally got a chance to live in a high rise senior building near downtown Chicago on Larrabee street. During holidays Stephanie was given the label of game maker.

We not sure if she made herself that person or if the family assigned it to her, either way Stephanie came up with games for the family to play every Thanksgiving, every Christmas, and every family picnic. We really enjoyed her games as a family and we will miss her creative spirit. Stephanies wish was to pass the games duties down to the younger generation to continue to carry on her spirit in keeping the games going in memory of her. She asked that her niece Tanisha Sandlin continues to keep the games going as her lady in charge of the games.

She also asked that Tanisha find and pick a younger generation good spirit family member to take over the games if Tansiha is ever unable to attend the family functions.
