Shirley Sims

Shirley A. Drink-Sims was born December 26, 1943, to Albert and Viola Drink in Memphis, Tennessee. 

She was the third child to this union. She was baptized at an early age.

Shirley attended William Penn Elementary and graduated from Marshall High School.

In 1966, Shirley married Robert Sims. To this union five sons were born.Shirley worked as a factory worker and at the Westin Hotel, faithfully, until her health failed her.

Shirley was preceded in death by Robert Sims; one son, Steven Drink; parents, Albert and Viola Drink; four siblings, Kenneth, Donald, Albert Jr., and Malone Drink.

On August 2, 2023, the Lord decided to pick this precious flower.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memory: four sons: Leslie (Gwendolyn), Robert Sims, Jr., Gerald (Latasha) and Maurice, all of Chicago, IL; two sisters: Dorothy Goines and Caslean (Otha) Montgomery; two brothers: Flint Aldrige (Violeta) of Edmonds, WA, James (Barbara) of Chicago, IL, and one sister-in-law, Anice Drink. She has nineteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and a special nephew, Meathead: Devin Drink.
