Rosie Lee Stuckey (Washington) was born November 6th, 1934. She was born in Itta Bena, MS to the late Levester Saygo and Moriza Washington (Saygo). She had 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Rosie joined union with Henry Stuckey on July 3, 1953. They would go on to parent thirteen Children, six who preceded her in death. At the age of 23 Rosie and her family moved to Chicago, Il.
Rosie was employed at Peeples’s Tacos for fifty years as a cashier and cook. She was a member of United Life Church for 40 years, under the leadership of Reverend Jesse L. Butler. Rosie Served the church faithfully. Rosie leaves behind twenty-two grandchildren, great forty-six grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her special friends; Carlotta, Jeanette, and Rob – also Bertha who preceded her in death.
