Ora Carter

Ora Lee Carter (Peewee) was born on August 2, 1953 in Clarksdale, MS to the loving parents of Jessie James and
Cora Lee Carter (who both proceeded her in the death).

She confessed her life to Christ at an early age. Peewee loved to sing, her favorite songs were"Pray on my child" and "I'm going up to yonder". Peewee grew up on the westside of Chicago she attended Henson Grade School and John Marshall High School, she also attended UIC to become a Dental Assistant.She worked at Motorola and varies other jobs, however her favorite place to work was Orbits. Peewee made so many friends within our community from working at Orbits.

She had a kind personality and was extremely friendly, she would give you her last dollar. She was always the life of the party and a joy to be around. She loved her family and really enjoyed cooking for each of us. She would guard the kitchen like a hawk (ask Lanice).Peewee loved kids, she would feed them so much until their little stomachs would be stuffed.

In 1972 she gave birth to a handsome son Tony Cornelius Carter; from the day she became ill Tony has been by her side as well as her two sisters. They took extremely good care of her.

Peewee departed this life on Wednesday February 22, 2023.She leaves to cherish her memories: Her son Tony C. Carter, 5 granddaughters - Shequila Carter Tamara Carter,
Tia Carter, Toniqua Carter and Cheyenne Fitts, 1 great granddaughter Khloe Schmidt. 2 sisters Florine (William)Hooker and Bernice Carter, 1 brother Jessie James Carter Jr., 1 aunt Emma Laye. 3 nieces Quavelin (Ricky) Edwards,Nina (Eddie) Lofton and Janeen Carter. A host of great nieces, nephews as well as great great nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.
