Mozell Carter

Mozell Carter was born in Mississippi on September 30,1954 to David Riley and Helen Carter Riley. His parents preceded him in death.

Mozell attended the Canton and Madison County public schools, where he received his diploma. He enjoyed learning things everyday.

Mozell relocated to Chicago where he gained employment at a steel company and later became employed at MT Dairy for over 25 years. He was a very hard working man.

Mozell departed this life on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 6:35 A.M. at home. His parents David Riley and Helen Carter Riley; one daughter( Shelia Hudson); one son (Christopher Hudson) one sister ( Minnie Riley); five brothers Lawrence Riley, LC Riley, David Riley, Ozell Carter and Hozie Carter, Whom all preceded him in death.

Mozell was a loving companion to Peggy Stewart (girlfriend), of 40 plus years; as well as a loving father to Sheenah, Shelia and Christopher. The best grandfather to Makayla, James, Stevonta, Jamal. A loving brother to Lela May and Willie.

Mozell leaves to cherish his most precious memories; his loving partner (Peggy Stewart); one daughter (Sheenah Carter); one granddaughter (Makayla Dixon); three grandson’s James, Stevonta and Jamal Campbell; one sister( Lela May Davenport) one brother ( William Carter) of Canton Mississippi. A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
