Mr. Maulton Redell McAfee Jr., affectionately known as Reddie, was born on
December 23, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Fontella and Maulton R. McAfee
Sr.
He embraced Christianity at a young age, becoming a member of Greater Mount
Sinai M.B. Church. His educational journey included attending Mason Elementary
and Farragut High School, after which he worked at Sears Warehouse and honed his
skills as a body and fender technician from his parents garage.
Maulton was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his passion for
cooking and baking, as well as his love for family gatherings. His warm and caring
nature left a lasting impression on those around him, fostering strong bonds with
his loved ones. He took great joy in nurturing relationships and creating memorable
experiences with family and friends.
Maulton R. McAfee Jr. is survived by his daughter, Samara Taggart, and three
grandsons, Marquiese J. Henry, Terrence I. Taggart, and Xon Withers, all residing in
Fairbanks, Alaska. He is also remembered by his sister, Marva McAfee of Chicago,
Illinois, and brothers Curtiss McAfee of Teldo, Ohio, and Lionel MeAfee of Chicago,
Illinois, along with his godson, Diandray Bell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Fontella McAfee and
Deborah McAfee, leaving behind a legacy cherished by numerous relatives and
friends.
