The Life Reflections of...
Mablean Ferrell
No weapon formed against thee shall prosper.
Isaiah 54:17
Mablean Ferrell was born in Bay Springs, Mississippi to the union of Lem and Jenell Ferrell. Both parents and five brothers: Araking, David Charles, Gerome, Aubry Dewayne, Warner Dean, and one sister: Ethel Marie preceded her in death.
She confessed a Hope in Christ at an early age in Mississippi. She later joined Sure Foundation M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. James C Clark where she was on the Usher Board for a short time, then joined the Building Fund where she served until her health began to fail her. She was a member for 28 years.
Mablean attended Harrison High School where after graduation she became employed with The Social Security Administration until her early retirement due to illness in March 2018. She was employed with them 47 years. She was always a loving and caring person who wore a beautiful bright smile and her signature red hair.
Unfortunately, she was called home to glory on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 4:14p.m. atthe University of Illinois Hospital, as she anxiously awaited the arrival of her first great grandson Jamoni.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories: one daughter Lydia (Sterling); two granddaughters: Tatiana and Taniyah; two brothers: Jim of Chicago and Leonard
(Lenna) of Mississippi; one bonus great granddaughter: J’Yanna; one bonus son: Aubry; one bonus grandson: Terrence; one Godson: Lazarr; two God daughters: Tanara & Johnetta; aunts, nieces, nephews, many family and friends. And a great friend Roberta, whom always checked in and encouraged her through her illness.
