Lucille was born July 13, 1924 to the late Celia and Phillip Jones. She was the sixth child of thirteen children born to this union.
Lucille attended Rosenwald High School she attended the Isom Chaple C.M. and Church.
Lucille later moved to Chicago and joined First Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. F. P. Piper then Rev. O. E. Piper, and then current Pastor Rev. Aaron Brasafield Jr.
Lucille met and married Elliott Coleman and to this union five children were born Cleo, Edward, Freddie, Michael, and Jeffery. Lucille loved her family
Lucille was a member of the gospel chorus, Deaconettes, and member of the Busy Bee Club.
Lucille was preceded in death by: I. C. Clifton, Lizzie Mae, Colombus (Annie Mae), Katherine (Willie), John Westle (Lorine), Charles (Argusta), Fred Lee (Ledora), Estelle (Booker T), Irine (Jerry), Bertha (Jim), Phillip, Clarence (Betty), Doughy (Arma)
Lucille made her transition on April 30, 2020 to be with the Lord.
Lucille leaves to cherish her loving husband: Deacon Elliott Coleman; Three children: Edward, Michael, Jeffery; Fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; a sister: Lorine Chase; Ten Sister-In-Laws and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
