I, Kenneth Jones, the 10° child of Robert Jones and Chritine Sharp Jones in the state of Mississippi. I accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Manuel at the Free Grace M.B.C. where my grandparents were members.
After moving to Chicago, I united with Union M.B.C where Rev. James Moore was Pastor. I learned a lot from Rev. Moore. I enjoyed singing with the choir. After working a few years, 1 fulfilled my dreams by enlisting in the U.S. Navy. (What a great experience.)
After spending nearly five years in the U.S. Navy I was honorably discharged with the rank of Petty Officer 2° Class. After returning home, I returned to Union Baptist Church, singing with the adult choir and the male choir.
I went back to school to be an accountant (didn't make it). So, 1 got my Real Estate license. I worked for Sears and Roebuck for over twenty years. 1 enjoyed traveling, bowling, and was a gym rat.
After a long courtship, Louise and I married. We moved to Sun City, Az for a number of years. We united with the Morning Star M.B.C., where Rev. Rayfield Johnson was Pastor. We later returned to Illinois.
For almost a year I went through one of the worst times of my life. Louise, you did things that I couldn't do for myself. You never complained or acted as if you were tired of me. Thank you.
I can truly say that I was blessed to have loving families and friends. In spite of my faults and failures,
I HAD A BLESSED LIFE.
