Joseph David Reed

Joseph David Reed Jr, age 75, of Chicago, Illinois gained his wings on June 29th, 2024, Eider Joseph Reed was born in Port Gibson Mississippi on October 30th, 1948.

Joseph graduated from Addison High School and enrolled into the U.S military after being Honorably discharged Joseph relocated to Chicago, Illinois.

Joseph Reed was a member and an ordained Elder of Straight gate missionary baptist church under the leadership of Pastor Elizzie Lakes.

He enjoyed watching sports, reading the bible, And spending time with his church family and Friends.

Elder Reed worked as a Support staff and Custodian for Bellwood School District 88 where he met the love of his life Bernice Reed. He retired from District 88 in the year of 2007 after working there for 17 years, Joseph and Bernice reconnected and Married in the year of 2015.

Joseph Reed is survived by his wife Bernice Reed, (2) Brothers Richard (arlene) Owen (5) reared Children, Orenda Elmore, Deon, Lil Joyce, Celeste, Melinda (4) bonus children children, Meloney (Michael) , Susie, Leon, Sabrina (Alfred), (21) Grandchildren And a host of Great Grandchildren, nieces, Nephews, (5) Special Friends Mackie, Kim, Lorraine, Sam, Rev jones and other Friends and family members.

Joseph is preceded in death by his mother Beulah M. Patten, Joseph Reed Sr, Grandfather Charles Davis, Grandmother Hannah Davis his son Joseph Reed III, (1 Sister) and a host of other relatives.
