I remember the day the angels came
I asked if you could stay
But they said God had other plans for you
He had sat and heard me pray They said that you were tired And that it was your time to go.

I asked them would you be okay. I just wanted to know
They said your pain is over That you would be at peace Taken to a wonderful place
Where all your suffering would cease
They told me not to worry That our love is forever And when the time is right That we would be together
I gave you one last kiss And then I said goodbye
I watch you spread your wings And then you flew up high
