Jimmie Dale Booker’s life began on July 27, 1957, in Lexington, Mississippi to Lula Lee and Jerry Lee Booker, Sr. Jimmie Dale was the tenth of thirteen children.
Jimmie Dale came to live in Chicago in the early 70’s and attended Orr High School where he met a very special friend, Theresa Rodgers from that union came two children: Steven, and Tequila Rodgers. He later met Donna Fay Anderson, who preceded him in death, and their union begot a son, Timothy Anderson.
Jimmie Dale made his living in Chicago as a security guard and factory worker, there he met many people who loved his larger than life and suave personality.
Jimmie Dale returned to Lexington, Mississippi in 2014, where he became a born again Christian and join the Church of Christ.
Jimmie departed this life on August 17, 2022, and was preceded in death by his parents, Lula and Jerry Booker, Sr., three siblings: James Smith, Norman Smith, and Jerry Lee Booker, Jr.
Jimmie Dale leaves to celebrate his life, his first love Theresa Rodgers, two sons: Steven (Marquitta) Rodgers and Timothy (Gi Gi) Anderson. A daughter; Tequila “Penny” Rodgers and a God daughter Ebony Booker. Step children (Kent-Carter Family) Seventeen grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren (2) of which preceded him in death. Three brothers; Robert Lee Smith, Monroe Smith, Quindle (Angela) Booker; and six sisters; Sadie Lou (Elrese) Swanigan, Helen Meeks, Henrietta (Versie) Hodges, Jerrydean (Alfred) Nicodemus, Katherine (Kevin) Meeks, and Juanita Nickerson. A lifelong friend, Authur Yancy - a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
