Jennifer Clay was the fifth of five children. Born on May 18, 1970, in Chicago , IL to the late Eddie and Essie Dent.
Jenn as she was fondly called received her education from the Chicago Public Schools. She graduated from Mary Maples Dodge Elementary School. She attended Richard T. Crane High School.
Jennifer worked as a home care aid, and she worked for the Salvation Army.
Jennifer Clay accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was baptized under the leadership of the late Elder Augusta L. Winfield Sr. at the Church Of The Living God in Maywood, IL. Where she faithfully served as an usher until her health started declining.
Jenn was truly one of a kind. She had a sense of humor, and she loved her family.
On March 5, 2022, Jennifer Clay gained her wings and went home to rest with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her siblings Jerry Clay, Carmella Clay, her niece Rennesha Clay, and her nephew Lamont Williams.
She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories. Her children: Curtis (Nicole) Clay, Elisha Donley, and Anthony Clay; Two sisters: Phyllis Winfield and Beverly Clay; Four grandchildren: Damarion, Imani, Haley, and Tyrese; An aunt: Annie Clay; A special niece and caretaker: Chequita Clay. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and close friends.
