Ivory James Lewis Jr. was born May 22, 1962. He was born in Boyle, Mississippi to Melba Hawkins (mom) and Ivory James Lewis Sr (dad). He would later move to Chicago, Il with his family. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He was baptized at Mt. Eagle Church at 17.
He graduated from Paul Robeson High school (Chicago, IL). He became certified in carpentry, a trade that he would use throughout his life. He moved to Milwaukee, WI around the age of 19. There he would meet Vanessa Irving, who would become the mother of his five children.
Ivory was a son, dad, brother, an uncle, and a friend. He cared deeply for his family and friends; and loved to be around them. He was a funny, and blunt person, he was so quick to crack a joke. Ivory loved to dance (stepping), his music, skating, and he loved socializing with others (especially the ladies.)
On January 26, 2024, Ivory was called home. He was preceded in death by his mother (Melba), father (Ivory Sr.), sister (Heresteen Friday), brother (Danny Hurns), and other family and friends.
Ivory leaves to cherish his memories: His children: Perrya, Vanessa, Tiffany, Britney, Whitney (Lewis); His brothers: Lorenzo (Hawkins), William, Wesley, Danny (Lewis); His sisters: Altheia, Perenvillia (Hawkins), Angel (Lewis), Pondoria (Wallace), Christine, and Pamela (Friday). His 16 grandchildren, and host of relatives and friends.
