Our beloved brother, Fred Lee Anderson, was born on July 25, 1958, to the late Fred Anderson and Hattie Mae Anderson.
Fred accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Lawndale Missionary Baptist Church. He received his education at Manley High School and later completed a welding program. Fred was employed by the Schwinn Bicycle Company, where he worked faithfully for many years.
Fred enjoyed fishing with his brother Cleo, spending time with family, and playing his lottery numbers. He was well known for his ability to repair electronics. Whenever someone brought him something that wasn't working, Fred would confidently say, "I'll get it back working."
Later in life, Fred moved to Mississippi, a place he loved dearly. When his health began to decline, he returned to Chicago in 2020, where he was surrounded by love, support, and encouragement from family and friends.
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Fred answered the Master's call and entered into eternal rest.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hattie Mae Anderson; his grandparents; four brothers; two uncles; three aunts; one nephew; two nieces; and one brother-in-law.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: three sisters, Diane (Leroy), Juanita (Michael), and Lisa (Darryl); his devoted brothers, Cleo (Linda) and Charles (Laverne); one beloved aunt, Lois; his cherished nieces, Tammy, Angela, Shawntae, Shanail, and Sadie; his special cousins, Ebony and Patricia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
