Ethel Victoria Dirl Johnson

Ethel Dirl Johnson “Doll Baby” daughter of late Earnestine Dirl Johnson and Edward Dirl Johnson was born June 9, 1954 in Chicago Illinois. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She loved faithfully as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was a woman who loved her family unconditionally. Through her trials she always had a heart of gold to anyone who crossed her path, especially if she could get coffee or
a cigarette from you. She was highly intelligent, witty, funny and a woman of wisdom. Although as an adult she had many burdens in her life but she carried her cross with such strength and love, never wanting to be a burden on anyone. She was highly favored and prayed over and blessed her children as well, always keeping God in not only her life but the lives of her children. She was not only a child of God but a Queen on so many levels and she will forever remain in our hearts. Sleep on “Doll Baby” mother you have truly earned you wings.

Ethel (Doll baby) life will forever be cherished in the lives of her five children: Sheilece Dirl Palmer, Melani Johnson, Ronald Johnson, Martdeldus Dirl, Cannae Dirl Mathews and son in-law’s Cleathe Palmer and Carl Mathews. Thirteen grandchildren: Samuel (Lavell), Tevin, Mya, Isaiah, Shawntel, Brittany, Taurean, Cleathe Jr, Nicholas, Alexis, Christian, Dawn and Selah. Four great grandchildren: Nehemyah, Breia, Zyaire, Nathan. Ethel is also cherished by one brother James K Dirl and one sister Kimberly MsCoutee Johnson
(Kemmi). A host of nieces, one nephew-Kimario Murray and a host of great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Earnestine Victoria Dirl Johnson and her father Edward Dirl Johnson.  Her grandmother Ethel Dirl, sister Carolin Jean Willis, sister Venita Janice Murray and one brother Orlando Dirl.
