Elaine Crawford

Elaine Crawford, affectionately known as "Laine" was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 9, 1954, to the late Albert Crawford Sr. and Dorothy Mae Crawford. She was the 3rd of 6 children. Elaine grew up on the Westside of town. She attended Penn Elementary and Farragut High School.

Elaine lived her life with no regrets. She enjoyed it her way, listening to music, dancing, celebrating with family and friends. She adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and could talk you under the rug.

Elaine was called to be with the Lord on December 31, 2024. She was met with open arms by her parents, Albert Crawford Sr. and Dorothy Mae Crawford, her daughter, Starshawn Crawford, and brothers, Albert Crawford Jr., and Robert Crawford whom all welcomed her Home.

Elaine leaves to cherish her memories: Her loving companion, Ronald Henderson, three children, Michael Crawford (wife Maleeka Crawford), Michena Crawford, and Tawayne Crawford; two sisters, Serita Crawford Jones, (husband Jimmy Jones), Sharona Crawford (special brother, Robert Carter), one special sister, Rachelle Clinton Braxton, two special aunts, Corine Jenkins and Loretta Johnson. Eight grandchildren, Shenika, Anthony, Antwaine, Demontray, Tytianna, Tequita, Michael and Devine. Eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends whom she loved dearly.
