Mr. Edward Earl Tucker Sr. was born April 29, 1929 to Nancy Goode and Felix Tucker in Memphis, Tennessee, along with 13 brothers and sisters which both parents and his siblings all proceeded him in death.
He retired from Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he worked numerous years. He never drove but traveled as much as he could.
He enjoyed music of all kinds. Jazz music seemed to be one of his favorites. He loved whistling tunes. He was a Los Angeles Lakers basketball fan. He loved sports.
He was married to Doris Adele Bass in January of 1950. To this union 10 children were born, 3 proceeded him in death: Gwendolyn Ann Tucker, Anthony Eugene Tucker, and Edward Earl Tucker Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory Doris A. Tucker, wife of 70 years, Ronald F. Tucker (Sharon), Michael J. Tucker, Chauncey M. Tucker, Onethia Y. Tucker, Dorothea A. Tucker-Caldwell, Steven C. Tucker(Minyone), and Tamiko I. Williams(Timothy). He leaves an abundant host of grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as cousins from Arkansas, Memphis, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Chicago, other family members and friends.
