We gather to honor and remember the life of Doris J. Hawkins, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Doris was born on June 28, 1950, to Hattie Mae and Littleton Hawkins in Youngstown, Ohio. Doris lived a life filled with love, kindness, and strength. She graduated from Farragut High School, where she began to shape the woman we all came to know and cherish.
Doris was a proud mother to her two children, Tonia and Terrance Hawkins Sr. While we feel the deep sorrow of her passing, we are comforted knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved daughter Tonia and her three brothers, Littleton Jr., Chester, and Gregory, who preceded her in death. Her son, Terrance Sr. (Exie), remains a living testament to her strength, love, and resilience. Her grandchildren-Krystyna, Janae, Terrance Jr., Tavion and Asani - were her pride and joy. Doris loved them dearly, and in their hearts, her spirit will continue to guide them.
Doris also leaves behind her youngest siblings, Shelia and Diane, with their children - Shannon, Shante, Mendell, Shawanda, Sheena, Brian, Sergio, Lawrence, Whitney, Jalisa, Chantel, Floyd, Breyanna, Brandon, and Olumuyiwa. She was deeply connected to them, and the bonds she shared with her siblings and their families were a true reflection of the love that defined her life.
To her nephews-Landon, Patrick, and Undrell Payne-and the many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends, Doris's love was boundless. She touched so many lives with her compassion, warmth, and generous spirit.
Though we mourn her loss, we take solace in the beautiful memories Doris left behind. She was a source of unwavering support, and a shining example of love and perseverance. Doris's legacy will live on in her family's hearts, may her love continue to guide you, now and always.
