Donna Frazier Obituary

Donna Maye Petross-Frazier was born on December 22, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois to Donald Harold Petross Sr. and Freddie Maye Petross.

Donna attended Morton Upper Grade Center Elementary School and Westinghouse Vocational High School. At Westinghouse she studied Cosmetology and was a member of the National Honor Society.  After graduating high school, she attended Loyola University and studied Finance.  During her time at Loyola, she met two life long friends Michele Davenport and Seneathia Sykes.  Donna spent most of her career working in Commodity Operations as a Foreign Balancer.

Donna shared her mother’s passion for cooking and was often called to recite a recipe or asked how to cook a specific dish.  As with our mother, most of us had our favored dish and she was always willing to cook it whenever asked whether it be prime rib or chicken tenders. Her son Lawrence loved her macaroni and cheese.

Donna was a pillar of strength, patient amid perplexities.  Patient when tides were strong and against her, in her sickness when nights were long with dreariness, and days were bothersome with weariness her patience was beautiful to know.  She is the wind beneath our wings.

Donna was preceded in death by their loving mother Freddie M. Petross, devoted father Donald H. Petross Sr., their beloved grandmother Pearl Mason, and his aunts Cynthia Craps, Carol Brown, and Ozell Snider.

Donna was a devoted mother and sister. she loved her family. As with Donald her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the life of her loving son Lawrence Frazier of Tinley Park, Illinois, and the lives of her siblings: Wanda Brooks of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Darryl (Lady Darryl) Petross of Chicago, Illinois, and Janice Petross (James) of Frankfort, Illinois. And her niece and nephew: Aleshia, and Donald Darryl. They will forever keep their beloved sister and aunt in their hearts. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
