Carmella Clay

Carmella Clay was born on February 4, 1965 to Essie and Eddie Dent in Chicago, IL. Carmella was one of five children: Phyllis, Jerry (Carmella’s Twin), Beverly and Jennifer.

Carmella was fondly called “Bay.”

Bay attended Grant Elementary and Crane High School.

Carmella passion for music and dancing was undeniable.

Carmella gave birth to her only daughter Rennesha Clay on January 25, 1982, she preceded her in death in 1998.

In 2017 Carmella accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at home under the late Pastor Elder Augusta L. Winfield Sr., from C.O.T.L.G in Maywood, IL.

Carmella departed this life on June 7, 2020, her parents: Essie and Eddie Dent, her twin brother: Jerry Clay and her daughter: Rennesha Clay all preceded her in death.

Bay leaves behind to cherish and celebrate her life is her three sisters: Phyllis Winfield, Beverly Clay and Jennifer Clay, her aunt: Annie Clay, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
