Antonio Damon Reives, Sr. affectionately known as “Tony” a.k.a “T-Mack” was born May 17, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to V. W. Reives and Hazel Cubie both of whom preceded him in death.
Tony confessed his love for Christ at an early age and attended First Baptist Church of Chicago, IL.
Tony attended Edward F. Dunne Elementary and Finger High School both on the south side of Chicago where he grew up. During that time, he met and married his childhood sweetheart, Michelle Cureton. To that union, five children were born.
Tony always had a passion for cars which was evident at an early age. Tony started his career working for Ford Motor Co. as an assembly lineman upon leaving high school; it was there that his love of cars was fueled. Tony always kept a nice ride. He also worked as a car salesman and detailer.
Tony had many gifts but one of his main gifts was his ability to create income. He had an entrepreneurial spirit that he passed to his children. Over the last 20+ years Tony operated his own livery service. He was extremely service oriented. Tony transported the elderly, the handicap and general public and ensured their safety.
Tony loved music! James Brown was his favorite. He loved to dance and boy could he tell a good joke. Tony was also known for his skills on the barbecue grill. EVERYONE who truly knew Tony loved his compassion, infectious smile and laughter.
Tony loved animals, especially his dogs. His last love was his precious Montana, Tony Montana. He took Montana everywhere he went.
Tony was always family oriented. His love for his family also extended to his friends. He played a major part in his children’s lives. They enjoyed many holidays and fun days. His children were never reluctant to call on him and when they called, he came. The same was true for family and close friends.
Tony you are already deeply missed beyond measure; 18th and Avers nor the neighborhood will ever be the same without you.
Tony passed suddenly from this earthly life and made his transition into eternal peace and life with the Lord on May 7, 2020 at 5:26 am.
