Annie Adams, affectionately known as “Mama Annie, Grandma, Nana”, was born in Arkansas on August 25, 1946. Annie was the only child to her. She & her mother moved to Chicago in 1951.
Ann confessed a hope in Christ at a young age. Her mother Alma would always take her to church where she later joined The Good Hope Freewill Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Alvin Johnson she was a choir member and Pastor Nurse. Once Rev. Johnson retired she was under the leadership of Bishop James Springfield Sr. where she continued to serve faithfully. Ann later joined Zion Rock Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Linda Williams where she was a faithful member until her death.
She attended Theodore Herzl Elementary School on the Westside of Chicago, she later received her GED and pursued her education further at Malcolm X College in their Nursing Program, where she excelled, graduated and became a RN. She also worked and retired from International Harvester.
She then met Mr. Raymond Mosley where they had a son Anthony Bush SR. Who proceeded her in death. She later married Earvin Williams where they built a future together for a while.
On June 3rd 1991 Ann said “I Do” to Mr. Charles Scott they were married for 21 years until the lord called him home.
Ann was loved by many, she was a strong woman who fought a good fight to the very end. She loved the Lord and made sure everyone around her knew it. On February 17, 2024 The Lord called Annie home to rest.
Her son Anthony Bush Sr and her Mother Alma Walker both proceeded her in death.
Annie leaves to cherish her memory; her loving grandchildren: Anthony Bush JR, Adrienna Brown, Shanice Bush, & Alexandria Bush; Great grandchildren: Keaira, Kamyra, Jamaal Jr, Tyrone, Damerion, Ka’mari, Nikko and Amiyah. She also leaves to cherish her brother: Dwain Boyn; A sister: Vanessa & a aunt: Cammie Williams. God children: Thyra Graves, Pierre Lilly, Antwan & Alice Henderson. Four special daughters: Sandi, Wanda, Shukuntia and Sonya & Her life long friend Amy Lilly, A special Friend James Cole, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends whom she loved & adored.
