Affectionately known as "Al, Alfonzia Hubbard was born on November 20, 1969, to Gwendolyn Hubbard. He was lovingly raised by his grandmother, Barbara Holt, and his grandfather, Luther Holt. Al attended Leif Erickson Grammar School and graduated from Orr Academy High School. After graduation, he joined the Job Corps, which helped shape his early years. He later worked as a janitor at the Race Track.
Al was a proud Chicagoan and an avid sports fan, deeply passionate about his hometown teams. His favorite teams were the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago Bears, and he enjoyed sharing his love of sports with family and friends.
On June 17, 2005, Al married the love of his life, Beverly Hubbard. Together, they created a blended family of nine children. Al was an amazing, dedicated father and husband, whose presence could fill any room with laughter and unconditional love. His devotion to his family was evident in everything he did. He was the glue that held everyone together.
Al began his career in housekeeping. Through his hard work, determination, and expertise, he rose to become a Supervisor at the Residence Inn. Al's leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and all who knew him.
Al was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Gwendolyn Hubbard; his grandfather, Luther Holt; and his uncles, Earl and Victor Hubbard.
He is survived by his beautiful wife, Beverly Hubbard; his cherished grandmother, Barbara Holt; his uncle, Harold Hubbard; and his brother, Steven Hubbard. Al also leaves behind his daughters: Tashay Hubbard, Shaketa Presley, Ashley Johnson, Jeanette Presley, and Mary Presley; and his sons: Terrell Hubbard, Tyler Hubbard, Michael Fisher, and Christopher Presley. Al will be fondly remembered by a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family who loved him dearly.
Al's legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will forever remain a source of inspiration and strength to those fortunate enough to have been a part of his life.
