Celebrating the Life of Benita Garrett
Benita Shavonni Garrett was born on June 14, 1994 to Delores J. Ratliff and Wendell Garrett in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was a “Daddy’s Girl” and the baby of the family.
Nita attended Daniel Webster Elementary School and obtained her High School Diploma from Manley Career Academy. She was a member of the U.S. Postal Service until her sudden departure on September 25, 2019.
Nita was known for her beautiful smile and being the life of the party. She caring, loving and silly with her family and close friends. She enjoyed traveling and had a Special relationship with her Grandmother GG. Nita loved jumping rope, dancing, eating, music and celebrating the holidays.
Nita was preceded in death by: Grandfathers Joseph Garrett and Charles Ratliff; Grandmother Lilly Ratliff; (4) Aunt’s Benita Garrett, Larael Garrett, Patricia and Florence Marie Ratliff; (2) Uncles Charles B. and Paul Anthony; Sister Evelyn; (2) Cousins Shavonni Mercedes Garrett and Alex Shrod Shipp.
Nita Leaves to cherish her most precious memories: Her parents Delores Ratliff and Wendell Garrett; Grandmother “GG” Garrett; (2) Aunts Connie Ratliff and Metry Garrett; (2) Uncles Stag and Kenneth Ratliff; (2) Daughters ----------; (2) Brothers Wendell Garrett Jr. and Lordell Ratliff; (3) Sisters Simone Ratliff, Evelyan Ashford, and Carmel; Special Friend John and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
